Meeting Place: Thompson’s Bridge Parking Area

Directions: Follow Route 202 / Route 141 to Route 100.  Follow Route 100 and turn onto Route 92 / Thompsons Bridge Road.  Turn into Brandywine Creek State Park.

Meeting Place: Josephine Fountain in Brandywine Park, across from Brandywine Zoo near downtown Wilmington. Use parking lot A) across from the Zoo (900 N. Park Drive) or B) next to the Jasper Crane Rose Garden (1116 N. Park Drive).

Directions from Points South: Take I-95 North to exit 7 toward DE-52/Delaware Ave. Merge onto N. Adams St. Use the middle lane to turn left onto Delaware Ave. Turn right at the 2nd cross street onto N. Van Buren St. Slight right onto N. Park Dr. Destination (900 N. Park Dr.) will be 0.2 mi ahead on the right.

Directions from Points North: Take I-95 South to exit 8 for Concord Pike toward Wilmington. Turn left onto DE-202 S Concord Pk./Concord Ave. Turn right onto N. Broom St. Turn left onto W. 18th St. Turn right onto N. Van Buren St. Sharp left onto N. Park Dr. Destination (900 N. Park Dr.) will be 0.2 mi ahead on the right.

Meeting Place: Joe White Memorial Field (1899 Northeast Blvd, Wilmington 19802)

Directions from North: Follow I-95 South to Exit 8 – Concord Pike toward Wilmington, and turn left onto Concord Pike. Continue onto DE 202 South/Concord Avenue and follow for 0.9 mile, and then continue straight onto Vandever Avenue. Joe White Memorial Field is on left just before Northeast Boulevard.

Directions from South: Follow I-95 North to exit 7 – North Adams Street in Wilmington, and turn Right onto West 11th Street. Follow West 11th street, and turn slight left onto North Church Street. North Church becomes Northeast Boulevard as the road crosses the bridge over the Brandywine Creek. Turn left onto Vandever Avenue. Joe White Memorial Field is immediately on the right after the turn.

Meeting Place: Maryland Avenue Entrance, 2001 Maryland Ave, Wilmington, DE 19805. Parking is available just inside the park entrance, or continue around loop and park near the basketball courts.

Directions from Points South: From 141 North, exit to Route 4 East / East Newport Pike and proceed towards Wilmington. Continue approximately 2 miles; as you descend the hill, the park and creek will be visible on the left. Start up the hill and turn left into the park, just before the railroad crossing.

Directions from Points North: Take I-95 South to Exit 6 for Concord Pike toward Wilmington. Continue straight on Jackson Street for approximately 9 blocks; and bear right onto Maryland Avenue. Continue on Maryland Avenue for approximately 1 mile; the park entrance will be on the right just after the railroad crossing.

Meeting Place: 606 Stanton-Christiana Road (just north of Routes 4 & 7 intersection)

Directions: Follow I-95 and take exit 4 towards Route 7 North. Follow Route 7 and turn right immediately after the Morgan Christiana Center at 500 Stanton-Christiana Road. Continue left past the White Clay Creek Medical Center. Hale-Byrnes House is on the left side.

Meeting Place: Near the intersection of Route 4 & Route 7, turn onto Stanton Christiana Road. Take the gravel road located to the right of the White Clay Creek Medical Center.  Follow gravel and dirt road about ½ mile to parking area near Marsh.

Directions from Points South: Take I-95 North to exit 4A-B and stay left to merge onto Route 7 North / Route 58 towards Churchmans Crossing.  Follow Stanton Christiana Road, pass AAA Boulevard, and pass entrance to JP Morgan Chase.  Turn slight right past the Stanton Industrial Park sign.  Make immediate right onto the gravel road located to the right of the White Clay Creek Medical Building.

Directions from Newark: Follow Route 273 East to Route 4 East (Ogletown-Stanton Road). Stay on Route 4 East past the Christiana Hospital.  Turn left onto Route 4 East / Route 7 North at light by JP Morgan Chase.  Almost immediately, make slight right just past the sign for Stanton Industrial Park. Make immediate right onto the gravel road located on the right of the White Clay Creek Medical Building.

Meeting Place: Newport Boat Ramp (Harvey Drive, Newport, DE 19804). Volunteers will sign-in and then board a jon boat for a 10 minute ride upstream to Churchmans Marsh. Volunteers will be dropped off on select shorelines and be continually supported by boat operators throughout the event. Additional supplies, trash disposal, and when finished, transportation back to the ramp will be provided.

NOTE: Rubber boots are preferred, followed by hiking boots, and then old sneakers, or any other footwear appropriate for wet, muddy, uneven ground. Flip flops are not acceptable.

Directions from Delaware 141 North: Take Exit 4 toward Newport / Stanton.  Turn right at bottom of ramp onto East Market Street.  Make first right onto South Walnut Street.  Then make first right onto East Ayre Street.  At second stop sign, turn left onto South James Street.  Make next left onto East Water Street.  Turn right onto Copper Drive.  Make first left on onto Harvey Drive.  Make next right onto Thomas Drive which will lead to boat ramp/parking area.

Directions from Points North: Follow I-95 South toward Wilmington.  Take Exit 5B (DE Rt. 141 North – Newport). Follow directions from DE-141 North.

Directions from Points South: Follow I-95 North toward Wilmington and take Exit 5A (DE-141 South – New Castle/Newport).  Merge onto Airport Road (signs for New Castle Airport).  Go straight at first traffic signal.  Turn left at second traffic signal onto DE-141 North.  Follow directions from DE-141 North.

Meeting Place: Behind center at 365 Airport Road, New Castle, DE 19720

Directions from Points North: Follow I-95 South toward Wilmington. Take Exit 5A-5B for DE-141 North toward Newport. Take Exit 5A on the left for DE-141 South toward US-202 S/US-13/New Castle. Keep right at the fork and merge onto DE-141 S/US-202 S. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Airport Road.  Center will be on the right side.

Directions from Points South: Follow I-95 North toward Delaware Memorial Bridge / Wilmington. Take Exit 5A toward DE-141 S/U.S.202 S/New Castle/New Castle County Airport. Turn right onto Airport Road. Center will be on the right side.

Meeting Place: Newark Municipal Building, 220 South Main Street

Directions from Points South: Follow DE-896 North. Turn right onto Old Baltimore Pike. Turn right onto Dayett Mills Road before railroad tracks.

Directions from Points North: Take I-95 South toward Wilmington. Merge onto South College Avenue / DE-896 South via Exit 1A toward Middletown. Turn left onto Old Baltimore Pike. Turn right onto Dayett Mills Road before railroad tracks.

Meeting Place: Chambers House Nature Center (1475 Creek Road, Newark, DE 19711)

Directions: Follow Route 896 North / New London Road. Turn right onto Hopkins Road. Turn left onto Creek Road.
